Comments about Garmin FR60 Heart Rate Monitor with Foot Pod - Women's:
I needed a basic watch for marathon and triathlon training that didn't have overkill-type features. The FR60 tracks distance during run and bike sessions with relative accuracy. Watch menus are easy to access and read with the option to power save when not in use. Though it doesn't track altitude (which is overkill unless you're an ultra-distance or mountain athlete), it completely makes up for in HR, distance, calories, gym equipment option (treadmill, elliptical, etc.) and combined chart comparison of data while using Garmin ANT agent and Garmin connect. The virtual partner keeps you on your race pace which is a nice feature if you just want to go for your pace run right out the door. Uploading is relatively easy, although I'd recommend the following order to avoid a long wait during the wireless data transfer 1) open Garmin Connect online, 2) plug in the ANT stick, and then 3) open the Garmin ANT agent and it will transfer away automatically - this order of procedure seemed to be the most time efficient. All in all this is a basic, but full-featured training watch that helps you track your goals for a multitude of sports. If you need altitude and all those other bells and whistles, upgrade to the beefier Garmins (305, 405). Hands down, the FR60 is technologically efficient which leaves more time and energy for training for office warriors and less time at the computer uploading and analyzing data.
