Comments about Horny Toad Lucien Dress:

I really, really wish this dress fit me. The red potato color is great, and it's really comfortable. I had high hopes that it would be a good winter work dress, perhaps worn with boots and a scarf. I'm 5'3"/115 lbs and bought a size small. Unfortunately, it's too long and loose in the waist/hips. It makes me look like I'm wearing pajamas. The hem is 2" too long for me, so it falls at an awkward length on my calf. The sleeves are 3" too long.I wasn't able to find any information as to how much the fabric ("Samba" - a blend of tencel and cotton) might shrink. I didn't wash/dry it since I wanted to be able to return it. I read another review of this dress in which someone suggested taking it to a seamstress to be hemmed, but I'm of a mind that if I pay [$] for a dress, it should be one that already fits well. Bummer that it didn't work out, especially since HT's Rose Marie dress in size small is a perfect fit/length.One more caution: when I tried this on, I was surprised how quickly I started to sweat. Breathability may be an issue, especially since the long sleeves are fairly snug. (This probably wouldn't be a good fit for someone with muscular arms.)By the way, it's pretty funny that REI's website flags the review if you type the full name of this brand due to concerns about profanity.
