This is the best reading light I own. We have two of them. The light is very good for reading and the battery lasts quite a while with those little l.e.d. lights. The adjustable neck is solid. The only problem that we have had was with one of the battery covers continually slipping off. Other than that, a great light for reading in the dark. It is light (pretty much just the weight of the batteries) and stows away easily.

I bought it because of the sale. It seems like a good idea to have a small clippable light when I am going on a car trip or staying in a hostel. It looks light weight enough to be in the carry-on. The goose neck will be good for light direction.
I haven't tested out the battery life so I can't comment on it.
It'd be a good stocking stuffer, too.

This is a great little light that I picked up on a whim because of the clearance price. Fantastic light for the price. The clip, gooseneck and base combination is great making it a versatile light. I've used it while staying in a hostel, clipping it to the wires of the bed above me in the bunk. In a tent I clip it to the loop at the top of my tent, creating a nice overhead light. The bulb isn't TOO bright which is good. If it were, then I'd probably want it to be a dimmable bulb. The gooseneck allows for great manipulation of where to point the beam and also to balance the light in whatever position you have it rigged. The base also works well if you want to just stand it up on something flat. You can also use it inside your car...clip it to your visor or for your passenger to have a reading light without disturbing your driving. Great buy. I'm getting another one!

The light is very useful. I used it in my garage working in dim light doing precision work. It is a great light. Works good in a tent for reading also.
