I use this primarily for motorcycle riding during the cold season in CA. When it's in the 50's and 60's wearing just a leather jacket is insufficent to stay warm. However, it may not be cold enough to justify heated gear, this is where the Arcteryx fits the need perfectly. I wear it over my normal clothes and then wear my leather jacket over it and it keeps me perfectly warm and cozy. What's really nice is that the Arcteryx is stylish enough to stand on it's own so when I reach my destination it's off with the leather jacket and I'm good to go with the Arcteryx. I've tried other fleece pullovers but the Arcteryx is the best.

The pullover looks great, but I found the Large to be a bit too short in the torso. I'm 6' tall, 185 lbs., and athletic in build. The sleeves were perfect, but the jacket was about an inch shorter than everything else I own. I'm getting another, but I'm definitely trying it on first.

I use this fleece for just about everything - work, going out with friends, hiking, camping, and as a mid-layer under a shell during the winter. It fits me wonderfully, better than any fleece I have had before. It is lightweight, but keeps you toasty. Some commenters have mentioned pilling as an issue; I have not had this problem. A few lint balls have shown up on the fabric used on the interior of the collar and the wrists, but that is it. I think the key is to wash and dry on gentle cycles. I really would love to get another one of these, but I don't think this one is ever going to wear out!

I purchased this top in copper and have washed it around a dozen times. It has started to pill rather noticeably. So for the price it's a bit disappointing. Just a personal preference, but if you use this top under a hard shell in wet weather, a knit cuff works better than the open cuff.

Great outer, great layer, great everything. Be careful when you wash it though. It took me 30 min with a lint roller to make sure it didn't look like a hand me down from my grandfather after its first wash.

Excellent attention to detail on all stitching on this garment. Strong, high quality textiles. Stylish. Intelligent technical design. Very breathable and very warm when you are static. Works very well with a hard or soft shell to block the wind or rain or when the temp drops below zero. Best feeling layer I have ever used. Pairs well for a night on the town or a 50 mile hike.

I have owned a lot of fleece...pullovers, vests, etc. and this is the best by far. The pile is woven tightly (still a soft hand) so it keep wind out but still breathes great. Same on mist and light rain...just brush it off. Construction and design set it apart...pay a little more and get the best.
