Comments about Mirrycle Road Mirror:
The previous version of this mirror was recalled. This is the new one.
This is simply the best mirror for bikes with Shimano shifters. It is in the best position, large and shows a huge area. It works great with aero bars too.
Now that it is redesigned, hopefully it will not break. My old one cracked so I ordered two more today of the new one to make sure I wouldn't be without it.
The other mirrors I've tried are too small to very useful.

Comments about Mirrycle Road Mirror:
Before STI was invented, the Road Mirrycle was the best bike mirror on the road. The brake hood mount is, as the manufacturer says, the best position for a mirror as it requires just a small, quick glance to view. The field of view is broad and bright, and cars appear large and easily spotted. I think this is a safer design than other products with excessively curved mirrors or bar end mounting positions, because you spend less time distracted from the road ahead squinting at a small and difficult to discern image far outside your normal field of view. The mounting is extremely clever, and allows for the mirror to swing aside if hit. The mirror stays put and is easy to adjust.
One small nit: your jacket arm will block some of the image if you're on the drops. A slight tilt of the head to the left will allow you to view straight back. A slightly longer mirror arm would cure that. It would also increase mirror vibration and risk of snagging on something, so the present design is an excellent optimization. It's great to see the return of the best mirror on the market!

Comments about Mirrycle Road Mirror:
I have used the well designed Mountain Mirrcycle for a number of years. During that time I have tried and abandoned an assortment of other mirrors for my road bikes, including helmet and glasses mounted designs. When I recently installed the ROAD MIRRCYCLE I was immediately impressed. The instructions were clear and easy follow and included details for proper installation on a variety of Shimano STI shifters well as as how to determine which series you have. The actual installation was even easier - it took only a few minutes! The best feature of the mirror is how well it works! It is easy to adjust and holds its position securely until YOU decide to move it (not counting collisions, crashes, or vandalism). I am purchasing one for each of mine and my wife's bikes.

Comments about Mirrycle Road Mirror:
This is an excellent mirror in terms of view, mounting location, and ease of adjustment. The convex mirror is large enough to have a good view of traffic.
I have had two of these crack and break at the mount interface. The roads here in Michigan are exceptionally rough: concrete with seams every 5 feet, some of which have unavoidable 3-inch wide and deep crevices at every seam courtesy of the snowplows, plus potholes in the concrete that have been patched repeatedly with a dozen layers of asphalt. The bumps are bad enough that I have to re-adjust the mirror 5-10 times daily due to the bumps. After a month or two and a couple hundred miles, the part of the mount attached to the STI lever begins to crack, and eventually break.
I still plan to replace it again, because I don't know how I could get along without it! I hope Mirrycle Co. finds a way to improve the mount durability.
Also note: The directions say that the parts fit together very tightly and not worry about overtightening. This should NOT apply to the small bolt that attaches it to your STI lever. Tightening that to the point where it squeezes the plastic together will increase the stress on the mount.
