Comments about Mountain Hardwear Yuma Convertible Pants - Women's Short:
I have just a few pair of hiking pants because it's hard for me to justify paying so much for a pair of pants I only wear while doing so. I finally broke down & got these in a 6S. These are perfect length-wise, as I am 5'3" & wouldn't want to wear out the back hems anyway. I just did a 14er in them that required rock scrambling, going down a snow-filled gully on my butt, scree, etc & they flexed with my every move. On the snow, they seemed to have repelled it & never got wet.
For the cold, I would recommend wearing a base layer underneath, which I did & was fine in the high altitudes of Colorado in October. I also love the black color, I'm not really one for all the other shades of outdoors-y gear though! Very flattering cut on the waist & butt!
Overall, I will be wearing these a lot!! Highly recommend!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Yuma Convertible Pants - Women's Short:
I can't find anything bad to say about these pants. These are the ones I reach for when I'm hiking and active, or just hanging out. Took them to Canyonlands, and they shed dust and dirt well! Look great for town wear, very comfy, stretch, but don't get "baggy" after awhile. I'm a little over 5', and the short size is a perfect fit. I adore these pants! Please make them in more colors!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Yuma Convertible Pants - Women's Short:
i bought these pants so i would only have to carry/wear one pair while traveling in new zealand's winter and fiji's tropicalness... and they didn't disappoint. they are so light and quick drying which made a quick handwash or unexpected swim possible. i left summer in the u.s. with shorts on, and zipped on the legs (which took up zero space in my carry-on) for our arrival in freezing nz. they are a little long for me, but the drawstring at the hem takes care of that. i love that when i sit down, the fabric just accommodates me - i don't know how else to explain that - i don't have to pull the thigh fabric up to sit, i don't feel like i am cut in half, they are just VERY comfortable (and i usually will not touch stretchy clothing). i wear these hiking alot and have walked through blackberries without a rip and sat on many stoney riverbanks without wear and tear also. and if i could be a girlygirl for just a minute... i have been in between sizes for two years now, and have been without shorts because of that, and these are the first pants i can wear. want to wear. love wearing. will definitely buy more.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Yuma Convertible Pants - Women's Short:
These pants are part of my favorite in my wardrobe....I just wish now I had purchased more than one pair because I can't find anymore. They are light weight but very durable. Extremely comfortable. Also, I ride motorcycles and they cinch up on the bottom of the legs so air doesn't blow up the pants legs. They are not short shorts either....love that they are more along the line of zip off capris....not quite as long as capri's either but certainly not shorts. The one thing I do note about them, they run larger than your traditional sizing. I normally wear a size 14 and I wear a 12 in these. Also, I am tall 5'9" and normally "regulars" are way too short, but not these, they are perfect!
