Thinner than some mid-weight T's but a denser fleece making it warm enough. The outside is quite smooth so there is almost no friction when worn underneath a soft-shell jacket. And the colors don't suck. I am 6', 170 lbs and the large size fits comfortably loose. The sleeves are a bit longer than other brands making it nice for biking.

I wear this over a poly T for runs in the 40s. Good breathability and flexability. It give me very comfortable runs. I'll wear it under bright colored T or bike shirt.
