Comments about Werner Spanker Stand Up Paddle:
Finally got my hands of a SUP board; a 14 foot touring/race board that I use at Folsom lake, Donner Lake primarily. I needed a SUP paddle that is long enough for myself (6'4"). I spent the a little extra for this paddle and have not regretted it. The all carbon paddle is very strong, light weight, and responsive. This is my first setup so i cannot compare it to others personally. However I am very happy with the paddle. Ill go out on 7 mile rides about 1.5 hours on still water and the paddle works great. I have the 84 inch paddle and it fits me very well. would probably get another slightly smaller paddle for the ocean/surf however i would also need to get another surf specific SUP board too. NO problems with this paddle, durable, super light weight, effective!!

Comments about Werner Spanker Stand Up Paddle:
Bought this because I was sick of paddles that made heavy paddling even harder. This Spanker is a like a feather. I LOVE it. I can paddle longer in more difficult winds/currents without thinking I'm going to be stuck out there. The paddle itself makes each stroke very effective. We do primarily "flatwater" paddling rather than surf, though it's rarely truly flat out in the bay. I am 5'8" and got the 78". I probably could have gone a tad shorter but went for the 78 to accommodate my husband, too. It's just a beautiful and functional paddle. I suggest getting a cover for it as well.
