Comments about Old Town Dirigo Tandem Plus Kayak:
I just finished the Bowron lakes with this kayak and my ten year old son. I was very pleased with the performance of this kayak. It ran cirlces around the canoes, was easy to maneuver, and had PLENTY of room for our stuff. We negotiated class 2 rapids without a problem. We also were able to paddle through some pretty nasty headwinds, thunderstorms, and ~2 foot cresting waves. The majority of the paddling came from the back seat (me). I am going to buy skirts.

Comments about Old Town Dirigo Tandem Plus Kayak:
Used it for the first time this weekend. My 9 year old and I went out paddling and fishing. I couldn't believe how stable it was with him casting, squirming, and otherwise not quite sitting still. I was also able to paddle and maneuver by myself (while he fished) with out any troubles. The only draw back was that I had to ask for help from strangers to get it on and off my roof rack (it was just too heavy and long for the 9 year old to help). My 11 year old and I were able to get it off the roof rack without assistance though.
