The 09 Tarpon 160 is one of the faster Yaks to paddle. This Yak is moderately stable. I weight 275 and I don't get water coming up through the scuppers. My 95lbs wife prefers the T160 over some of the other Yaks we tried. The P-3 Seat is very good considering the competition. I like the rails that allow you to mount rod holders, your GPS and sounder anywhere along the track.
This is a long, heavy Yak. You will need to contend with this weight when loading and unloading. A Yak cart will be needed for moving this Yak.

Though used as a fishing Yak, the length and speed of this boat allow you to tour.

This is a great kayak! Easy to modify for fishing. Great storage options and tracs make it easy to add and remove gear from GPS unit to fish finder/sonar. The rudder is a must have in my opinion. It simplifies fighting a big fish thats towing you all over. The kayak is heavy but what do you expect for something thats 16' long? A wide wheeled kayak cart makes this a small concern. Bottom line is that this is a great kayak for this price range!
