Comments about The North Face Plasma Thermal Jacket - Men's:
I was looking for an alternative winter jacket that is strong, and lightweight to withstand Minnesota winters. This one seems to be a little less bulky than other jackets/parkas that I looked at. I have not tried it yet in an actual snow storm but had used it during a fairly windy, chilly day. It kept the wind out and it was warm enough that I only had a short sleeve shirt underneath. I also like the material on this compared to other Triclimate jacket. It does not restrict your movements, it feels like you are wearing a softshell jacket. I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for" and this jacket is worth it, especially if it's going to last you for years to come.

Comments about The North Face Plasma Thermal Jacket - Men's:
Let me tell you a bit about The North Face Plasma Thermal Jacket. This thing is amazing!!!. Comfortable, warm, and waterproof, a mountaineering jacket cannot get better than this. My movement is not restricted. The Pitt Zips are a great feature, as is the removable hood (fits great with/without a helmet). At first I was worried about ripping the fabric, but it really is much more durable than I originally thought.
Yes this jacket is expensive, but I require gear that does not fail when my life depends on it. The North Face Plasma Thermal Jacket meets all of my expectations and more.

Comments about The North Face Plasma Thermal Jacket - Men's:
Did a lot of research before settling on this jacket, looking for a light-weight storm and belay jacket for high Peruvian peaks. just tested in a big storm in the high sierra on a technical FA at almost 13k feet - absolutely flawless performance: super warm, took a brutal beating on rocks, bushwhacking, and under a 60 lb. pack. compresses very well. did i mention i did a 12-pitch technical climb in this jacket? i have total confidence in this piece of equipment
