Comments about Brunton BrewFire Dual-Fuel Coffee Maker:
I was really excited to get this coffee maker. But, when it arrived, it was missing instructions, the butane adapter, and the batteries (provided according to online description). The quality of the molded plastic was so bad the top did not fit correctly, the water door would not close, and the filter basket would not stay shut. On the plus side it appears to be well designed, and has some very nice features. Such as an on/off switch and a signal when the coffee is done. The brewing temperature is very good (about 195 degrees), and the insulated caraffe is very good. An exciting new product but not quite ready for prime time. I returned it and may reconsider another if they get the production straightened out. One thing to note this is for outdoor use only. I tried this in a well ventilated kitchen, and it set off both of our house carbon monoxide alarms. I have **NEVER** had a propane outdoor appliance do this.

Comments about Brunton BrewFire Dual-Fuel Coffee Maker:
The idea for this product is spot on for car camping, however the execution of this design is poorly done, and I'm disappointed in Brunton for even releasing it. Parts don't fit correctly, no instructions included, "on" switch doesnt work, something rattles around inside, parts have fallen apart such as the tab to the water reservoir, and the coffee filter door doesnt close. Not to mention when opening it, it looks like it has already been used. My first instinct was that I received a return. Loved the idea when they initially released it, but the execution is very poor.

Comments about Brunton BrewFire Dual-Fuel Coffee Maker:
It is a bulky product, but the plastic is so thin it did not survive shipping without minor cracks. I will be surprised if it survives a camping trip. It is disappointing, up to this point the Brunton name was synonymous with quality in my book.

Comments about Brunton BrewFire Dual-Fuel Coffee Maker:
This coffee maker absolutely made my last camping trip! The coffee maker started up right away and I was able to walk away and get breakfast started for the family. The coffee brewed up fast and hot. I had no problem with parts fitting as others have commented. Everything works perfect. I am thrilled to finally find a coffee maker that I love for camping that makes a good cup of coffee!

Comments about Brunton BrewFire Dual-Fuel Coffee Maker:
After some frustration with the traditional coffee perculator taking too long and being too hot to touch for too long, I found the Brunton unit. It works as advertised and makes a good cup of coffee, more in line with home coffee machines.
I did find the carafe difficult to place back under the basket after pouring a cup, and I broke the basket on the first use. It still should function okay, but don't try to remove the basket that holds the coffee and filter, to clean it. It should function like a toilet paper tube, with a spring loaded mechanism, but instead the pin broke against very little force.
It's a decent product that I'm sure will get better with time. It's a nice alternative to the perculator and is self-contained, which might be good for tailgating or other applications.
