Comments about GSI Bugaboo Backpacker Cookset:
I used this for the first time on a quick over night. It rocks! I love the mugs that fit inside the pot. It comes with everything that I thought I would need. It lived up to my expectation and well beyond. I like the pot lifter but it is a little heavier than I would like to see.
One note.... make sure the vent hole is open on the lid when you use it for a strainer. Mine was closed by a little plastic. (Located opposite the strainer part on the top.) I simply opened it with a knife. No problems after that!
I would buy this again anytime! I love beyond words the nForm mugs. No more need to bring a bowl and thermal mug. You have them both and you can use the bowl attached to the mug part (with sip top) to have a double walled thermal cup.
Go buy this and enjoy how it works!

Comments about GSI Bugaboo Backpacker Cookset:
This is a great little set. We added a couple of REI plates and some kitchen utensils and we were good to go. The best part is that our MSR pocket rocket burner fits into one of the bowls. The ridges on the bottom of the pot and frying pan make the products really stable, and the coating on the pans make for really easy washing. The carrying case isn't much of a sink, but overall I can't complain.

I have only used this car camping but it worked perfect. It saves a lot of space by packing up so nice and cuts down on needing to bring everything separate. The insulated cup was perfect for coffee and stayed warm for quite a while. The pan and lid was great for eggs in the morning and it all cleaned up quick and easy.

The design of this cookware is great. The detail of how everything packs together and the sack doubling as a sink is well thought out. The only thing I would change is the removable pot handle. I like being able to grab the pot from any angle. Maybe the next generation can have a movable handle that locks.

Incredible set!! My first set was a aluminum coleman, then an REI set. Neither provided exactly what i needed as far as cups and features. I then purchased the GSI bugaboo and WOW! I love the strainer i love the cups i love the insulators! My stove/salt/pepper/utensils and bathroom bottles all fit inside once its all packed up! I rarely bring the frying pan but its nice to have it just in case! If you need a cookset for backpacking this is the one! Trust me!

So far I've used this set once. It was great to have the cups, and the folding pot handle worked great because it locks to the pot. I haven't used the strainer yet, but feel it would be a pain to strain anything as the lid does not lock on. The frying pan can double as a plate, which was really nice. Next time, I will only take two cups and probably use the extra space for other cooking gear or some food.
Great set!

I love the design of this product. The lid with the built-in strainer is brilliant (as soon as I saw it, I knew that I had to buy it). When I got to camp, I realized that the protective cover doubles as a water carrier - very handy.
The cook set has worked really well so far for the kinds of foods I like to eat while backpacking (pasta and rice dishes for dinner, pancakes for breakfast).
The pot holder seems a little heavy and overly complex (folding, two buttons). It can throw the frying pan off balance on a small stove.

Comments about GSI Bugaboo Backpacker Cookset:
I was using a MSR Super Fly canister stove. On our most recent trip to Point Reyes, we used the cook set every morning and evening for our meals (and coffee in the morning). Everything cooked very evenly. We had no sticking problems or burning. We even left the pot dirty overnight and cleaned it the next morning without much trouble. My only warning is that on my stove, the pan was not very stable with the handle attached. Just be very careful and it should stay. Other than that, this set is perfect.

I used this on a recent paddling trip and loved it. Clean-up was easy and it packed nicely. I especially loved the canvas sink.
Unlike other reviewers I wasn't as crazy about the cup and bowl. Don't get me wrong, this is a really nice feature.
Problem with the cup and bowl has more to do with the fact I like a little more to eat then the bowl will hold. And I have a multi-fuel burner that doesn't fit inside the bowl. So I have to either carry the stove seperate or leave the bowls behind.
I nearly bought MSR's version of this product because I liked their bowl/cup setup better. But in the end the pots and sink won me over.
The other complaint I have was with the handle. Like another reviewer, I prefer to grab the pot without having to search for the fitting. I also didn't feel the handle was a sturdy as the plier type on my MSR stainless pots.
I actually had to press down on the edge of the pot to get the handle to fully engage. Hopefully, that will change as it gets more broken in.

Has what you need to cook and then consume a meal for 2. Room to fit spices, rags, hot pad, sporks inside. Non stick coating works well. Removed one of the cups and fit my backpaking stove inside as well. The carrying case is a great bucket for clean up. Not the lightest thing in the world, but not exactly pig iron, either.
