Designed for all-mountain riding, the Giro Xen bike gloves balance protection and control. These lightly padded, durable gloves also stand up to hard-charging riders.

  • Clarino™ synthetic leather palms, fingers and thumbs are breathable, water resistant, extremely abrasion resistant and supple
  • Back of gloves features 4-way stretch moisture-wicking mesh for breathability; strategically placed sonic-welded armor protects fingers and knuckles
  • Knuckle flex zones allow easy grip and dexterity; thumb and two fingers feature silicone tips for enhanced grip
  • Light gel padding offers impact protection while enhancing control and bar feel
  • Soft and highly absorbent fabric on the thumbs gives you a gentle place to wipe your nose or brow

Durability Issues a Concern

These were excellent gloves and I got great use out of them while they lasted.

However the major issue with these gloves was durability. The seams failed along the cuffs and on the palms.

The gloves have a small pad on the cuffs where you can grab to pull the gloves on. However, by doing so, I was able to pop the seams. The gloves I had were the proper size for my hands so I was not using an unnecessarily large amount of force.

The seams on the palms also split during a minor accident. Other gloves I have used have survived much worse.

The design of this product is excellent, however the issue may be somewhere in the manufacturing process.

Very comfortable. Feels like they are already broken in, but they aren't very durable because the seams broke at the fingers and palms.
