One thing I HATE about backpacking is crushing everything into compression bags... A necessity, I know, but the effort is a royal pain.This bag is large enough and opens wide enough that I use it for 2 things. Sometimes I put out Timberline 4 tent in there, along with footprint and 2 vestibules. That works great! Compressing my tent saves valuable space and keeps the dirt and wet away from other gear on multi-day trips where we're packing up after a rainy night.Other times, I put my hubby's clothes in there - since he hasn't quite got the "minimalist" definition down! The clothes are still heavy, but at least they don't hog the pack space like they would if they weren't in a compression bag.I love that it is a SQUARE too - better for fitting in packs with other square things as well.I'm planning to get more of these this size and see if I can't come up with a backpack packing design that works. Soooooo much easier than stuffing items in small compression sacks - way less stressful and time consuming!I wish you could pick your color - but it's only available online. [...]
