  • Close-to-toe lacing and gusseted tongues provide a climbing-shoe fit and repel trail debris; rubber rands help protect feet against bumps and abrasion

    I hike very long distances in harsh terrain in the back country of Yellowstone National Park. I have been through every other popular, expensive brand of boot, and have never been happy. I blister easily and have had bone surgery on my heels. This boot is light weight and extremely durable. I am going on year two with the same pair while my coworkers buy a new pair of thier brand every year. I highly reccomend Scarpa.

      I ordered these boots because I wanted to have the best boots possible. They are way too big; at least a size larger than they are supposed to be. The clamps are PLASTIC! I was very worried they would break with the first lace-up. My Merrels were a way better deal. They are going back to the store tomorrow. Spend your money on something better. The backpacking magazines were paid off!
