Comments about Garmin FR60 Heart Rate Monitor - Men's:
This watch is a reservoir of data gathered from other add on devices such as a speed and cadence sensor. The data easily uploads to Garmin's "Connect Garmin dot com" fitness or event diary. The watch looks good and reserved unlike the larger cousins with GPS capabilities. I don't need the GPS just the other data that comes with it.
I quickly ordered the premium strap and it is light years better then the included piece of a tire standard HR monitor sending device. I use it on my road bike, on the Lemond Cycle Trainer at Lifetime Fitness as well as with the foot pod while hiking or running. It accurately keeps track of my distance, cadence and Heart Rate while on the bike or in boots.
I like the feature that it has user replaceable batteries in a normal size not some factory changed one like Polar requires.
I use the lap feature instead of GPS to track my location. I'll just start a new lap at a change in my ride terrain such as the long uphill section over Sugarloaf Mountain on the Leadville 100 course. I know this lap is the uphill and the much lower Heart Rate section would be the downhill part of the Pipeline outbound. (Example of using Lap button)
Overall its a recorder of data and a watch. It does have a manual but you have to download it for free. The uploads to the Garmin Ant agent sometimes has to be manually started but that's easy and has a menu start feature easily found.
I really like the Connect Garmin fitness activity diary with it's explore function where I can plan or see other peoples activities. I plan new ones for myself using this nice feature. I can set goals, upload them to my watch and see how I'm doing. It is very similar but much easier to use with a nicer interface then Polarpersonaltrainer dot com's.
All in all a nice well designed product from Garmin and I'm very happy to have upgraded from my Polar F11 which is worn out now after 5 years of almost daily use. I'll post a longtime use update in several months.

Comments about Garmin FR60 Heart Rate Monitor - Men's:
Light is right. I have been using a Forerunner 305 for running for years. I find 305 is handy for determining mileage and more indepth evaluations. FR60 is light and extremely easy to use. Though I had to upload manual online, because the quick start manual left me with unanswered questions. I choose the male maroom & grey model for lightness and breathability on watch band.
Would I recommend to a friend? No, because I don't want to be the same as everyone else. There's other companies that make the same type of watch, perhaps everyone that wants to copy other should wear the other bands. :)
