A lightweight multipurpose climbing helmet, the Petzl Altios features an innovative suspension system that creates a near-weightless feeling for excellent comfort.

  • Altios hybrid suspension system combines an expanded polystyrene liner for shock absorption and a comfortable inner mesh liner that actually floats the helmet above the head
  • Injection-molded ABS plastic shell provides solid protection; expanded polystyrene liner absorbs shock from impacts
  • Climate Control System consists of front, side and rear vents that promote airflow through the space created by the hybrid suspension system
  • Vents can be closed in cold weather with the 6 plugs that are stored in the inner shell
  • Molded adjustment wheel is grippy for simple use; wheel fine-tunes the fit even while wearing the helmet
  • Padded front headband with mesh is removable for cleaning
  • Includes a removable Adapt clip for simple attachment of any Petzl headlamp (sold separately) that is equipped with the Adapt system
  • Headlamps can also be attached via the 4 clips
  • Narrow polyester chin strap can be adjusted forward or backward; adjustment buckles are placed to the side rather than under the chin for increased comfort
  • Compatible with the Petzl Vizion face shield, sold separately

  • Size 1 fits youth and small adult head circumference 18.9 - 22.05 in.
  • Size 2 fits head circumference 20.87 in. - 24.02 in.
