Comments about Mountain Hardwear Enterprise Computer Pack:
I had been looking for a backpack-style computer bag for some time and this one finally fit my needs. Not too many accessory pockets, but just enough and excellently arranged (zip net pocket for small items like meds, thumb drive, etc; largish pocket for pens, 2 glasses cases, etc; small outside vertical zip pocket for ID badge, keys, phone; larger vertical zip pocket for travel documents; I use the glasses pocket inside the main bag for an iPhone cord and short ethernet cable). The large main compartment is a good size for lunch, light jacket, etc even with the laptop in place. It also has an integrated file pocket which I really like since I am constantly carrying around 3 or 4 file folders and this pocket keeps them from getting crumpled. Solid protection for the laptop. Very good for day hikes around town or in the hills when I travel for work. I've only had it for 3 or 4 months, but I use it daily. It hasn't shown a bit of wear and seems to be exceptionally bomber. I had considered the NF Surge, but that pack seems way overloaded with pockets, straps, etc. I love this pack!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Enterprise Computer Pack:
This is just a well designed pack. I've gone through too many packs where the zipper wont run when pulled by one hand - you need one hand to pull one end and another hand to pull the zipper the opposite direction. If you're like me, you usually have one hand occupied while you are trying to access something in your pack.
This pack does a nice job protecting your laptop by "suspending" it above the floor of the pack and sandwiching it between two padded walls. This means - when you put the pack down (or it comes down harder than you wanted) the laptop itself does not contact the floor. My MacBook Air is nicely protected.
There are a ton of quickly accessible pockets for sunglasses, power chords, cell phones and all form-factor iPods. The exterior side pockets were a must for me - they hold my car keys and plastic bottled drinks.
This is my brief case and my portable office - I'm 40 years old - on weekends, it's my sailing/biking/beach bag - it works very well as an overnight bag - the handle on the back panel is thoughtful. Very versatile!
I shopped around a lot for this bag and these guys got it right.
