Comments about Sherpani Flora Major Messenger Bag:
I've had this bag for a few months (after initially accidentally buying the sherpani nuvie diaper bag, not realizing it wasn't this bag.)
For the most part I'm a really big fan of this bag. I like it's capacity, and the varied compartments. It's both cute and functional, and really reflects my personal style and most of my needs. I love it as a gym bag, and the waterproof pocket is not only great for wet or sweaty gear-- it's also really great for putting a book or other papers into to protect them from anything you might have in the main compartment (like a leaking lunch bag!)
However, the main strap, even when shortened all the way is WAY too long for anyone under about 5'4". I'm 5' even, and the bag still hangs well below my back, making it pretty uncomfortable to carry (either over one shoulder or diagonal across my chest) with any sort of load. Because of how low it hangs, the hip/waist belt is only functional if I'm on my bike and leaning forward (which then works great for keeping the bag position comfortably and in one place.)...Otherwise in order to put the belt around my hips/waist the shoulder strap ends up hanging loosely around me (not securing the bag on)causing all of the weight to be transfered to the hip belt. I think I'm just going to cut the strap and re-sew it to make it shorter. If I do that, my biggest issue with this bag will be taken care of.
Also, regarding the belts: the hip belts are not sewn back over to make it difficult for them to come unattached from the bag like nylon straps normally are (and are everywhere else on this bag.) Twice while riding my bike, the bag has slipped because the belt on one side or the other has come away from the bag. One also fell off once when I was just carrying the bag and didn't have the belt on. If I hadn't noticed it on the ground, it would have been permanently lost.
My other complaint about this bag is that I bought it to be my daily bag- which includes computer transporation. The round bottom of the bag makes it so that a computer doesn't fit very well. It works, but there is no way to keep it real snug, even in the back pocket.
I would recommend this bag to a friend-- but I think it is probably a better gym or bike commute (with out computer) bag than everyday work/school/commute/play bag. I wouldn't recommend this bag to a short friend unless she felt like shortening the strap herself.

Comments about Sherpani Flora Major Messenger Bag:
I use this bag all the time. It's easy to take along on a bike ride, and totally stays out of your way. I love that it has a spot for a sippy cup for my daughter or a water bottle for me. I use it as a purse, and as a gym bag. I love that I can toss a diaper or 4 in it and go! The total perk is the darling style, comfort and practicality of this bag.. love it!

Comments about Sherpani Flora Major Messenger Bag:
I use this bag as my daily bag. I carry it with me to work, and to the gym. It holds up with anything from my wallet and car keys to diapers and a sippy cup stuffed inside. The waterproof material is great when I use it at the pool. I have traveled with this bag, and found a new love for it even then.. I carry it across my body and feel so safe traveling in large crowds. I feel that the bag reflects my stylish and practical side. Yes, I would totally recommend this bag to others- and have!

This bag can carry a lot but it is also comfortable. It is durable and stays clean. I have the black bag and it is subtle but still stylish. I love it!

Comments about Sherpani Flora Major Messenger Bag:
I am biking much more since it's summertime, and was having trouble with larger bags flopping around while I'm en route. I don't think backpacks are that stylish, so tried this out. This bag has a waist strap and stays put while riding or hiking. It has tons of space, and I love that it fits a water bottle and doesn't SPILL all over the place! I use this as my everyday bag for work and going out. It is completely functional for my busy lifestyle and you can easily find things (keys, gum, wallet, books, pens, makeup etc.) versus losing stuff in the dreaded bulky handbag abyss! Awesome bag...

Comments about Sherpani Flora Major Messenger Bag:
I have had my Flora major for a couple of years and it's awesome! It has a zipper pouch on the flap that holds my commuter card & my work badge for easy access. There are pockets in the straps, perfect for my cell phone, and there are side pockets too, one for my coffee thermos and one for a travel umbrella just in case. The inside of the bag has places to stash tissues, gum, and other essentials and it has the perfect amount of space for my lunch bag, a book, headphones, & iPod. This bag is perfect and I just can't find any faults with it!

I commute to work via bicycle five days a week. Clearly a good bag is essential. I researched various styles and brands before deciding upon the Flora Major. Not only does it have ideal weigh and capacity it's uses transcend across both personal and business. Although not my original intention for the bag, I have found it to be the perfect carry-on bag while traveling! I'm thrilled with my purchase... Thanks Sherpani!

OK this is the bag I use all the time. It's basically my purse. I use it and it works for everything. It has the space for a water bottle which is great. I can also easily toss a diaper or two into it w/ no problem. I can bike with it, I can hike with it. I guess most of all though, it's easy to carry it with me to work or out to eat and it's not too casual. I love this bag. I love the color options as well. Now the only problem I have is wanting more!

I have been using this bag for yoga during the past year. Now that it is summer, I also take it to the pool. I absolutely LOVE the wet pocket for sweaty gym clothes and damp towels. This bag has plenty of space and various compartments for toiletries and clothes. You can keep everything you need for a day at the gym organized, separated and dry in this bag.

Comments about Sherpani Flora Major Messenger Bag:
Stylish bag. love the exterior zipper on the flap.
Saw someone at the airport and we both had the same exact issues: when you put the bag down, ten times out of ten, the strap is sitting under the bag, making it a pain to pickup. also the padding on the shoulderstrap keeps flipping upsidedown and makes it hard to carry (mine is torn).
It's expandanable with straps underneath.
To close the bag, i think they sewed the very end of the strap together backwards, cuz it's really hard to grab it if you have it maxed out, and pull the strap to cinch it closed.
