Comments about La Sportiva FC 3.0 GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
I bought these to replace 5 year old North Face Adrenaline boots that started leaking. Had to find another boot since those were discontinued. Great fit for a slightly narrow foot. Tall toe box. Great flexibility due to design of upper. More supportive than the typical lightweight design.

Comments about La Sportiva FC 3.0 GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
Well cushioned yet stable, light yet protective enough for most trails under moderate loads. Flexible but, more important, it is designed to flex like your feet. Excellent fit; comfortable out of the box. Hiked 8 miles on very hot weather the day after receiving them. They felt good, a little hot under my right forefoot, otherwise fine. Now, after a few more day hikes, and switching to heavier socks they have become perfect. The have great grip, and breathe superbly.
I usually wear size 9.5. For these, I chose size 43. They fit great with heavy socks.
I intend to use this product for thru hiking next fall and I think they will be perfect.

Comments about La Sportiva FC 3.0 GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
I have narrow feet and weak ankles. They were a replacement for a worn-out pair of La Sportiva backpacking boots that had an extremely rigid sole.
I purchased these because La Sportivas run a bit narrow and have a high ankle for support, and because of my good experience with their rigid backpacking boots. I was disappointed to discover that you can feel a lot of rocks through the flexible soles of these shoes, making long rocky hikes uncomfortable. Moreover, the ankle support is lacking and I had my ankle collapse/pronate a few times -- the stiff-soled La Sportivas for backpacking never did that. These shoes are lighter and feel more natural than backpacking boots, but they didn't work out for me due to the excessively flexible sole and flimsy ankle support.

Comments about La Sportiva FC 3.0 GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
Ball of my foot was sore after a short hike, sole should be thicker and provide more protection.
