Comments about GoLite Odyssey Pack:
I loaded this up with skis, 6 PBRs, sleeping bag, shovel, 3 liters of water, food, and so on... a total of 30 or so pounds of gear and the pack worked like a charm up Saint Helens. My trepidation regarding the visibly small seams, relatively thin waist belt, and lighter shoulder-straps was proven to be ridiculous.
That said, this was my first trip with the pack, but it was tremendously comfortable, light, easily assessable... everything a person could want.
With the great syncing features I plan on making this my full-time ski bag (and a standard shovel head fits perfectly in the exterior ack pocket) as well as my extended trip pack. It'll likely be my day pack as well. It's that good. I can't rave about the Odyssey enough (my climbing partner was quite jealous).

Comments about GoLite Odyssey Pack:
I was looking for a lightweight pack that had lots of room. I wanted it to have a separate sleeping bag compartment. I used it for the first time 2 weeks ago to hike into the Sawtooths in central Idaho. We hiked in 5 miles to about 8,000 feet. The pack was loaded with about 28 pounds and was very comfortable. With previous packs I either had sore shoulders or hips but not with this pack. It has a hydration sleeve which works well. I have two small gripes. #1 is the "removable interior shelf". I wanted to keep my food, clothes and other equipment seperate from the sleeping bag compartment but the shelf is not solid and everything falls through to the lower bag compartment. And second the pack would be better if it had a couple more exterior zippered pockets on the side. Having said that the pack overall worked well.

Comments about GoLite Odyssey Pack:
This pack was beaten and thrashed for a 13 day packrafting trip in the Brooks Range AK and held up very well. It carried 65lbs quite well and was easy to get adjusted. The hip belt pockets were key in keeping the Deet handy!! Overall a full function, lite, big pack.
