The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Patagonia Maui Air Shoes - Men's:
I bought this shoe last week for a trip to southern California as an option other than to wear flip flops. I tried the shoe on at the store to make sure it fit properly, they felt good so I bought them. I broke them in a bit in my house (while wearing socks). I then wore them a few days later and went on a short walk (less than one mile). During the walk it felt as though the heel of the shoe was cutting into the back of my heel (this time I was not wearing socks). When I got done with the walk I looked down to see that both of my heels were torn apart and bleeding. Needless to say I was very unhappy with them. I later tried to wear them for a short while when wearing socks underneath… but there was no difference, the shoes still cut up my heels. I would not recommend this shoe at all. Even though it looks nice and is very breathable, I would not purchase this product again, and I will be returning them.

Comments about Patagonia Maui Air Shoes - Men's:
I've owned these shoes only for a few weeks, and will say that hands down they are the most comfortable shoes I own. I wanted something that replaced sandals for spring/summer and these definitely help 'dress up' casual summer wear. I had no problem breaking them in and didn't experience the bleeding heel problem of other reviewers. As with any slip-on, try them on before buying as you may need a smaller size than what you would typically wear with lace-ups. So far I've only worn them with socks/jeans and will have to get some odor eaters for no socks/shorts in summer after reading other reviews. And guess what...feet + sweat = smell so don't be so surprised :)

Comments about Patagonia Maui Air Shoes - Men's:
I love the look of these shoes. Patagonia makes solid products. They are very versatile and work in several settings. However, there are two big downfalls. They are serious enough that I might stop wearing the shoes.
1. When I first wore the shoes, the back of the shoe rubbed my achilles raw. It hurt to wear them. This eventually went away and I have no issues there.
2. The more serious problem is that they stink. I don't have unusually smelly feet so we can skip the "freak" tag. But these shoes absolutely reek when I take them off. The shoes smell. My feet smell. It is bad. I haven't tried using chemicals yet. If that doesn't work, I'll send them back. If you have sweaty feet, have a nose, or know people who have noses, these are not your shoes. You can find other shoes (that work and look just as well) that won't clear a room.

Comments about Patagonia Maui Air Shoes - Men's:
Purchased these shoes for a two week trip to France. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I purchased two pair of shoes for this trip. A pair of driving moccasins and this Patagonia Maui Air. The first day of my trip I wore the driving moccasins. They were comfortable but buy the end of the day my feet hurt. The second day I wore the Maui Air… wore this shoes the rest of the trip. I was there for two weeks and my feet felt great the rest of the trip. I have never worn a more comfortable pair of shoes that stood up after walking for more that 8 hours a day for two weeks.

Comments about Patagonia Maui Air Shoes - Men's:
There are plenty of good things about these shoes. They are very comfortable, and I like how they look.
But those things don't matter, because they smell absolutely awful after wearing them. I've never had complaints about my feet smelling before until these shoes came into my life, but these badboys have changed that. It's too bad really, because they are very comfy and look great, but there's nothing to be done about the smell. I put deodorizer in them when I'm not wearing them, spray inside with Febreeze, leave them in the window etc. This doesn't help, the shoes smell awful.

Comments about Patagonia Maui Air Shoes - Men's:
These shoes are super comfortable and cushiony. They are very light and easy to wear. I bought these nearly a year ago and have been wearing them as house slippers mostly, every single day since I bought them. And I mean every darn day! But I do wear them out sometimes too.
I would give these shoes a full five stars except the fit is not ideal for me. I have super-skinny feet and these, like every single slip on I have ever had, are too wide for my feet. That is the only reason I don't wear them outside the house all that often but I still do sometimes. If they fit me better I would wear them a ton more.
I have no idea why that other reviewer would say they "tore his heals apart". I find that very hard to believe. The shoes are so soft I don't see how that's even possible unless they were just too small. It seems one would not wear a shoe to the point of bleeding before they stopped. Any shoe that fits improperly would have this type of problem but common sense would say to take them off before you get to the point of needing a blood transfusion.
I 've been wearing them for a year and couldn't be any happier with them. Yeah they are too wide but so is every slip on I have ever tried on and I tried every one that I found.

Add a pair of Superfeet insoles to these babies and you will grab them every time you go to your shoe rack. So comfortable!

Comments about Patagonia Maui Air Shoes - Men's:
I've had these for a while. I live in SoCal and they work great for the climate out here. I always were them with socks, so have not had the stinky feet problem that others have remarked on. I generally wear them to work and have gotten quite a few compliments on them, even though they were purchased for functionality and comfort. I'm curious to see how long they will hold up, but I have high hopes for them. I have been wearing Kean leather clogs for years and can usually get a good two to three years out of those, even though they get a bit worn with daily wear. I'm hoping Patagonia will live up to their name with these shoes, but so far, i love them.

Comments about Patagonia Maui Air Shoes - Men's:
I bought these shoes at the beginning of the summer as an alternative to sandals and haven't taken them off since. What initially drew me to them is how lightweight they are. I picked them up in the store and couldn't believe it. By far, the lightest shoe I've ever put on my feet.
I also have wide feet and have a hard time finding shoes that fit comfortably. This is my second pair of Patagonia shoes and both fit my wide feet well.
As other reviewers have mentioned, these shoes will begin to stink if you are wearing them sockless. I've never worn socks with these shoes and have found a little odor-eater powder ever now and then eliminates the problem completely.
As for the heal rubbing issue, I've worn these without socks all summer long and haven't had a problem. It might be a fit issue.
My feet are happy in these shoes and I'll be wearing them as long as they'll last.

Don't write reviews, but this shoe is fantastic. Wore it around Europe, New York and The Midwest for the last two months and they are quite easily the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have not experienced the heal or achilles rubbing or the smelly feet. I plan to purchase another pair.
