Comments about Keen Briggs Shoes - Men's:
The soles wear out very quickly, to the point of holes in the bottom. Keen the manufacturer will continually replace defective product, however after 4 replacements (within a year--moderate use), it is time to find a better quality shoe. Very comfortable, but I am just very disappointed that they just do not last.

Comments about Keen Briggs Shoes - Men's:
I have had these shoes for about two years and they are some of the best shoes I own. I estimate they will make it one more year and I do have to agree with others that the bottoms near the balls of the feet do seem to be wearing out rapidly. I don't know if this is a tradeoff for how extremely comfortable they are (I wear them everywhere). The cost-benefit is this: 3 years at [$] dollars per year is a pretty good deal for how comfortable and versatile the shoes are. If you're not a heavy walker, you may even get a few more years out of them.

Comments about Keen Briggs Shoes - Men's:
These are the most comfortable shoes ive ever put on. I didnt even have to break them in i was able to wear them the same day without my feet hurting or anything. The only thing that i dont like is that they say they are non-slip but you have to be careful when ur walking on wet surfaces, like water, oil spills and even grease.

I saved up for months to buy these and they were worth it. Comfy, stylish, unique ... all-around excellent shoe. Unfortunately, after about a year, one of the main stitches along the side popped, which led to the loose string unraveling further. I returned them and tried out the Keen Austin ... not bad either, but I didn't think they were as comfortable. I'm going with the Briggs again. Unfortunately, REI doesn't carry the color I like.

I'm a physical therapist and I work on my feet practically 8-10 hrs/day, 5 days/wk, and this shoe is the best I ever have...when in fact I have 6 pairs now!(of course different styles). The only knock is, the sole wears fast, other than that it fits perfect and feels like your wearing a pair of sneakers all day.

I am an usher for the Oakland A's, and I'm on my feet and climbing up and down stairs for at least 5 hours every game. These Keens are the best, and I do mean the best, shoe that I've ever worn for the work that I do. They are super comfortable with good arch support, and the anti-slip sole is perfect for walking up and down wet stairs. I love these shoes and have recommended them to numerous other people. This is the second season that I've worn them, and they show no signs of wear.

These now rank as my favorite shoes ever and by a mile! They took about two full days to break in to get full confort. I might buy a 2nd pair to put on the shelf for when these bad boys wear out. I've seen the reviews that say these wear out quickly...even if that's true the confort it worth it. I know keen shoes are pricey, but don't let that fool you. They are worth it.

These shoes lasted 2 yrs. My feet fit into these shoes right away and took no time to break in. The leather is soft and comfortable. I wear them to work in office buildings about 3 days a week, and on weekends. The only downsize is that the sole at the heel is a little slippery.

Comments about Keen Briggs Shoes - Men's:
After loving a pair of Keen Taos I use as water shoes for kayaking, etc., I bought these back when they were called "Bronx", ~ 2 years ago. Since then, I have worn them on 5 trips (of 2 weeks each) to Japan and a trip to Germany, where they were my main shoe and did a LOT of walking, plus I have worn them to work here in the US about 70% of the time and worn them a lot on weekends. They are an extremely comfortable shoe, especially for doing a lot of walking. I wear an 11 1/2 EE running shoe, and I have trouble finding shoes that fit me well, but these do. I do agree, though, with Matt McHugh, that the soles of these wear too quickly, at least initially. I was disturbed to see how much wear occured on the soles in the first few months of use, especially around the ball of the foot. It did seem to plateau a bit after that, and though they have continued to wear, overall it has not affected the function of them too much until now. I now have to replace them as the footbed has compressed down too much at the ball of the foot, causing me a little pain. I am going to the REI near my office today, and am going to try the Keen Austins, because the reviews for them make them sound maybe a little more durable. I leave on a 10-day trip to France and Germany tomorrow, so I should be able to field test the Austins over there.
