These waterproof Salomon XT Wings GTX trail-running shoes provide protection, speed and power, taking your trail runs to a whole new level of flight.

  • Nylon mesh uppers feature Sensifit™ synthetic leather overlays to secure insteps and lock heels in place
  • Gore-Tex® waterproof, breathable liners let feet breathe while protecting them from the elements, keeping them dry and comfortable
  • Polyester linings wick moisture away from feet; contoured Ortholite® insoles enhance comfort and control odor with an antimicrobial treatment
  • Quicklace™ lacing system takes just one pull for a precise fit; lace pocket hides lacing away
  • Protective toe and heel caps guard against bumps and abrasion
  • Agile Chassis System (ACS) integrates 3 components to increase runner efficiency: the skeleton, muscle and tendon
  • Clear thermoplastic insert and outsole heel wrap act as the skeleton to facilitate heel-to-toe transition and side-to-side stability
  • Triple-density EVA midsole muscle maximizes comfort and responsiveness with twice the durability of average EVA foam

    Comments about Salomon XT Wings GTX Trail-Running Shoes - Men's:

    I'm a runner who logs 30 miles a week during the summer and go hiking on a semi-regular basis up hikes such as Granite Mountain, Lake Serene, and Mount Dickerman. These shoes are great for hikes and provide the traction needed through mud, over rocks, and water. They keep your feet toasty warm and dry which is great. They could use a little more ventilation but it is expected with Gore-Tex and a trade off needed in the wet northwest.

    I also run half marathons regularly and enjoy these shoes as a trail runner or on gravel/dirt trails that I run my dog on. These shoes aren't a 100% road shoe obviously but if you run back and forth from trails to side walks to roads... these may be the shoes for you. Completely versatile and provide the stability for a flat footed person and cushioning for a heavy runner. I give these shoes 4 stars and they would have had 5 if they were perfect for trails and roads... but those are two different capabilities that I want in one shoe.
