      I returned my bilt vite bottle (which turned out to have a terrible, leaky lid) for this plastic bottle. The lid on this bottle is the best part about it. It comes off & goes on very easily and fast... it all can be done with one finger! The lid is also very easy to clean making it a very safe bottle to use. I am getting more of these but I suggest getting the smaller bottle with the narrow bottom for the car cup holder. The 750ml bottle does not fit well in our 2006 Yukon Denali cup holder.The lid itself is worth the [$] we paid for these bottles. Get some, they are the greatest plastic bottle out there. Of course, they are BPA FREE.

        I use this bottle for all aspects of my life. Though I have not had a chance to take it camping, it would serve you well due to its ease of traveling...you can clip this bad boy anywhere on your pack or belt-loop with a small carabiner and be on your way. It does not retain smell of your drinks, so long as you don't allow something to grow mold in it...you can still get smell out, but it just takes more time. I have also used it to store trail mix when working and it functioned great in that fashion. It also works well with my Guyot Splashguard, which you can also pick up at REI. I have many waterbottles for many different things, and this one definitely gets its use. Some people have mentioned that it doesn't fit well in their cup holders, but I have a 2009 Escape and it works great in there!
