Comments about Mountain Hardwear Light Wedge 3 Tent:
I've had the Wedge for about two years and it gets a decent amount of use on multi-day backpacking trips and car camping trips. It's a great tent. Every time I take it out, the people I am camping with comment on how easy it is to set-up. Very fast and simple. It has kept me dry in rainy, windy conditions. Over all great design.
As for sleeping three... it would be cramped. I guess it would work if you absolutely had to, or really like the other two you are camping with. I use it for two campers + gear(or a dog), which works perfectly.
I love the overhead pockets. These make it easy to find stuff at night, like flashlights, and keeps things off the floor. It's not the lightest tent out there, but it's extremely sturdy, weatherproof, and spacious sleeping two.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Light Wedge 3 Tent:
We bought this tent and used it for the first time in Joshua Tree. It was so simple and quick to put up, and it was the perfect size for 2 people. I am not sure how comfortable it would be for 3. We experinced high winds over our 2 night stay, and not once did the tent move from it's pegs. The internal pockets were also very useful
I would 100% recommend this tent to anyone, well worth the money.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Light Wedge 3 Tent:
I've had this tent for two years. I got it because my daughter (now 5) wanted to come with me on light-duty backpacking so I wanted something bigger and more protective than a minimal backpacking tent but still wanted light and small. It's heavier than a dedicated backpacking tent but still light enough that we could stuff it in my daughter's pack if the poles weren't quite so long - which is probably my only complaint, and given that it's a freestanding tent, it would be unrealistic to expect shorter pole segments.
For the two of us it's perfect - lots of space, ease of changing clothes, warm in cool weather and easy to ventilate in warm weather. My wife rarely comes with us but when she does, it's big *enough* for two adults and a child but it's certainly not spacious. Three adults would be very crowded indeed.
The best part is how quickly this tent goes up and comes down - with my daughter helping we can get this tent from inside my pack to fully setup (*WITH* the rainfly) in less than five minutes. It folds up equally quickly.
It's totally waterproof and while we do sometimes get condensation on the inside of the fly, it never ends up on us inside the tent. Even the vestibule area stays remarkably dry, assuming of course that you choose an appropriate spot to set up the tent.
In hot weather you don't want the rainfly on - even using the (included) guy lines to secure the sides of the fly up and away from the sides of the tent, ventilation and airflow are low. It gets quite hot inside the tent on a summer night with the rainfly in place. On the other hand, this past weekend the nighttime low was in the 40s and we slept warmly and snugly inside the tent.
All in all, it's definitely the most satisfying tent purchase I've made, excelling at light-to-medium duty backpacking. It's a tremendous value at the price, and if you were looking for a serious lightweight backpacking tent you wouldn't be looking at this one anyway.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Light Wedge 3 Tent:
Took this tent on its maiden voyage, car camping with my wife and 3 yr old. Got caught in a thunderstorm at 10,000 ft massive down pour for over an hour had to sit in the tent and watch Little Einsteins on the portable DVD player. Never got a drop of water on us this tent is great!!! Tent is a snap to set up and is pretty light for a 3 person tent would be great for 2 and a bunch of gear.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Light Wedge 3 Tent:
I wanted a tent that was easy to set up, had ample interior peak height, and was easy to get in and out of. This Light Wedge 3 satisfies those needs. I have been using the REI Half Dome, but was feeling cramped. I'm a big guy and want a tent that I can move around in, a tent where I can get in and out of my clothes and my sleeping bag without having to be a contortionist.
I reckon you could get 3 people in this tent, but it would be pretty close. 2 people would have ample room; as a solo tent, it's downright roomy. That's what I wanted. 1 person can set this tent up in 5 minutes. Big entrance makes in/out easy, big mesh panels mean great ventilation. I've only used this tent once- it's new- and the weather was so fair I went without the fly. Like sleeping under the stars.
I am happy with this tent and feel I made the right choice. I look forward to many comfortable nights in the field with the Light Wedge 3.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Light Wedge 3 Tent:
Have used my Wedge3 17 nights over the past year. Love being able to dress sitting up inside the tent. No leaks in a heavy 12 hour rain/snow storm. No condensation problems. Bad news is the poles broke in a 45mph gust even when the tent was well guyed down, fly & door zipped, and in trees. This is too flimsy for my usage. Good news is Mtn Hardware warranty [...]was excellent.
