The Mountain Hardwear Light Wedge 2 tent provides comfort beyond belief. It's an excellent backpacking choice when low weight and high ventilation are priorities.

  • Freestanding 2-pole design offers a solid shelter with ample square footage; large end mesh door allows easy access
  • Tension Shelf supports a brow pole which greatly increases vestibule volume, adds structural strength and offers overhead storage
  • Dry-entry vestibule design prevents water from dripping inside tent when vestibule is open; features a non-yellowing, clear ultra-violet overlaminate film window
  • Large mesh sky panel rolls back for ventilation and views in nice weather
  • Atlas 7001 poles are anodized for corrosion- and dent-resistance and come with patented Delrin shock tips, so they're completely field serviceable by hand
  • Pole clips save weight, make setup a cinch and allow superior ventilation between rainfly and tent
  • Opposing double-slider door zippers make variable venting easy
  • For extra stability, each guyout point clips to the frame on interior side of rainfly via welded attachment points; guyout points are reflective for easy identification
  • Canopy pockets keep tent organized; optional gear loft is sold separately
  • Superlight buckles and webbing save weight

    Comments about Mountain Hardwear Light Wedge 2 Tent:

    Ive had this tent for about two years. I've used it on many outtings, never with any issues.

    The mesh portion of the tent is large, and can cause it to be cold in the tent, but with the rain fly added, body heat alone is enough on a frigid night.

    There is plenty of storage space inside for smaller items, and nice hanging options up top for heavier items like lights.

    Theres only 2 issues Ive had with it; The big shelf just above the doorway, inside the tent, is very large and useful, however if you put someting small into it, its a little hard to get to.

    The other is the entry point, with the rain fly on. Im 6'2" and at times, (gear and broken femur) dependent, It can be difficult to get in without snagging on the fly itself.
