Comments about REI Rendezvous Convertible Pants - Women's:
These are my favorite pants I have ever owned! I purchased these in store after trying on about sixteen different other pairs. They are slightly stretchy which makes them fit perfectly. Order a size smaller, as these run a little big.

Comments about REI Rendezvous Convertible Pants - Women's:
I purchased these pants at an REI store for work. I work in the field for the CA state government, and it requires a lot of hiking. The pants work really well for these purposes. They are light, comfortable, do not tear, and dry quickly whenever I need to wade through a stream. They fit well, although I wouldn't have thought I was a size 12. I would suggest trying them on first or paying close attention to the REI sizing chart before purchasing.
My only complaints are that it was a too pricey when I bought them and that they do not allow for a lot of storage. I may not buy them again, but I would possibly buy the male version for more cargo space. ^_^

Comments about REI Rendezvous Convertible Pants - Women's:
I was really surprised to read the other reviews here that say these pants run big. I had to buy a pair 2 sizes larger than I normally do, so I would say the run VERY small! No big deal, except for the ego! But, I would tell people to try them on in the store whenever possible before ordering online! Otherwise, great pants. Super comfy!

Comments about REI Rendezvous Convertible Pants - Women's:
I bought these in hazelnut and onyx (gray) and thought the colors and fit were perfect. I am usually a size 6 or 8, and based on other reviews indicating to err on the side of buying smaller, I did and the fit is very flattering. I love how they look and the pockets were very functional without bulk. The bottom legs zip on and off easily for capris. I wore only these 2 pairs for 14 days hiking through the Mount Everest region and they held up very well. Highly recommend.

Comments about REI Rendezvous Convertible Pants - Women's:
I love these pants--wore them on a trip to Nova Scotia in late September where it was cold and rainy one day, and warm and sunny the next. The only caveat is that I had read the other reviews and everyone said they fit big--if you're over 50 and need a relaxed fit waist band, be aware that the waist is snug and fits true to size. I bought the size 10, based on the other reviews and wish I'd bought the 12.

Comments about REI Rendezvous Convertible Pants - Women's:
bought a pair just before leaving on a 7-day backpacking trip in the Eastern Sierra Nevada. I'm a very active healthy size 18 with a 34 inch inseam, a bit short, other than that they fit great. However, I also wear double knee braces and I had to drop drawers in order to put on or take off my braces and the zip-away point pulls tight over the `braces. They washed up well on the trail, didn't show much dirt and dried quickly after stream crossings. AND relatively odor free :-)

Comments about REI Rendezvous Convertible Pants - Women's:
I bought these pants for a trip to Yosemite and was definatley pleased with my purchase. They were comfortable for long hikes. I would recomend these to anyone interested. I would like to see more pockets and possibly a second breakaway point on the pants. They would be perfect if you could convert them from long pants, to capri's and then to shorts! I hope the REI designer's read this.
