The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Victorinox Night Vision II Swiss Army Watch - Large:
I have worn this watch everyday for about a year now. I love it. It has been to the scorching desert, cold winter hikes, high altitude, and underwater. I cycle, run, swim, and dive; this watch has never missed a beat.
The bold numbers are easy to read with just a glance. The hands are chrome, and just a glint of moonlight is all you need. The luminous numbers and hands do not last that long, nor are they very bright. However, this is negated by the dial's blue LED, so it's not really a big deal. The dial's LED is strong enough to even charge up the luminous paint, this is a good trick when you need to preserve your nighttime vision.
I have found the flashlight to be incredibly useful. It's almost become an extension of my vision, I'm so used to having it on my wrist. From navigating a girl's bedroom, checking my mailbox at night, power outages, or anytime I need to navigate someplace in the dark.
I have never used the flashing signal functions. There is a standard flashing pattern, and there is a brighter emergency beacon that is activated by holding the button for 5 seconds. Who knows, maybe one day I'll need it.
There is a little red flashing LED at the 6 o'clock on the dial. It's mostly just annoying. I hardly take my watch off for anything, so I have no need to locate it. This light has actually been handy once when I left the watch on my desk and was looking for it in the dark.
I have small wrists, and I use the smallest notch on the band. The case is 13.5mm thick. This is about the largest I would like to wear. I guess they had to really cram in 2 batteries, and all the transistors and wiring and lights in this thing. The watch is not annoying to wear. It is comfortable.
The sapphire crystal is flawless despite some rough scratches while rock climbing, a couple crashes on the bicycle, and general abuse. This watch can take all that and still fits in with my tuxedo at work.
The swiss quartz is pretty accurate, mine loses about 5 seconds every 3 months.
For the money that you pay, you are getting a rugged, reliable, handsome, accurate, unique swiss timepiece that will serve you well. I haven't really wanted to buy another watch since I got this one.

Comments about Victorinox Night Vision II Swiss Army Watch - Large:
The Victorinox Night Vision II really caught my eye. It has been three weeks since I last purchased The Swiss Army Night Vision II watch and so far it’s a handsome looking watch that’s been knocked around quite often at work and still no scratches or dents. This watch is simple, has bold luminescent numbers with a date window and built-in LED flashlights above the 12 o'clock position. There is also an LED dial light to illuminate the dial in the dark, and just in case the flashlight's battery is dead, luminous hands, as well. I am looking forward to using the Swiss Army Night Vision II on my backpacking trips. So far I have used this watch to navigate my bedroom in the dark late at night. I must say that the watch is rugged simple and good-looking with legendary legendary Swiss Army craftsmanship.

Comments about Victorinox Night Vision II Swiss Army Watch - Large:
This is an update to my previous review. I have now owned this watch for 2 years. It was a great watch at first, but it's falling apart. After one year, the button to activate the light popped off while bartending. It wasn't during any particular vigorous activity, just standing around, and it disappeared into the grimy floor never to be seen again. So I've been living with a poky metal rod instead of the plastic button for a year.
After about 1.5 years it was time to replace the battery for the flashlight. The O-ring was all warped out of shape and it seems that Swiss Army likes to keep these stockpiled for themselves. They won't ship you an O-ring. You must mail the watch to some service center so that they can charge a bunch of money just to put the O-ring in. I'll try to find a watch dealer that has something that fits laying around.
I don't wear the watch as much for fear of damaging it further. The flashlight seems to not work as well. I think humidity has eroded the electrical contacts.
The rubber bezel that goes around the face is beginning to come off. The rubber band is of a high quality but seems to have stretched out a bit, so it's uncomfortable to wear on my small wrist. What amazes me is that the sapphire crystal face is absolutely pristine. No marks at all. Looks new. This is crazy because the steel case has quite a few marks from rock climbing and bicycle crashes.
The accuracy is still amazing. It's a simple quartz movement, but after almost a year of not calibrating it, it's off by less than a minute. I'm impressed.
I'm looking to replace this watch because the bulk is not justified without a reliable flashlight on it. I still appreciate the swiss army brand, but I think this watch has reached the limit of its lifespan. (2 years)
