Comments about Garmont Ener-G G-Fit Telemark Boots - Men's:
I have wide feet, especially in the toe box, and Garmont boots are the only brand that don't kill my feet. These fit like a glove right out of the box. Thermo fitting the liner makes them even better. These boots are replacing my worn out Syner-G's (also a very nice boot). These give more control over my skis. I do quite a bit of backcountry skiing with these and they work great. I can't tell the difference in weight over my Syner-G's, although I wouldn't recommend these if your primary use is touring long distances (and second priority is skiing), but if you're in the backcountry to ski I highly recommend them. They work great in the powder as well as on the ice, crud and groomers. Comfortable walk mode going uphill and decent flex on the flat terrain, not quite as much flex range as the Black Diamond models but I find it sufficient. Overall a wonderful boot.

Comments about Garmont Ener-G G-Fit Telemark Boots - Men's:
I have skied the Syner-G for the past 4 years logging about 20-25 days/yr. About 1/3 of those days in the back-country. I updated my skis + bindings last season (K2 Work Stynx + BD 02's). Found my Syner-G's slightly underpowered for that ski and binding set up. Picked up a pair of Ener-G and they turned out to be the ticket. I have a fairly wide foot. As with my Syner-G's I got a little pressure in the heel but not enough to cause overwhelming discomfort by the end of a long day. I have not had them thermal fitted but the heel pressure will subside as they did on the Syner-G once this is done. Skied all condition last season from rime ice to bottomless powder and they performed great (along with the skis and bindings). I would recommend these boots for the aggressive skier who is doing primarily lift service tele-skiing.
