I lost my prior hat after a kayak trip. Just picked this one up to replace it. I like the eVent material as it breaths better then the last one.

When you do fold down the 'ear warmers' it really covers my head well and keeps off the wind and rain.

Only complaint is that the medium was too small and the the large is just a bit big.

    I love this hat-- the primaloft does a super duper job of keeping my head warm in 10 degree F weather, and has kept my head dry in pouring rain. The eVent membrane is the best in the business and for the first time ever, I had a completely dry and warm hat at the end of a soggy, cold trip
