I bought these for my dad and he loves them. Just purchased his 2nd pair. Comfortable and very durable :)

Comments about Sorel Manawan Slippers - Men's:
These are great slippers with a durable rubber style sole. If you have short outdoor needs when running out of the house...fine, but don't wear them outside like shoes. Warm liner...like 'em!

Comments about Sorel Manawan Slippers - Men's:
Sorel is a brand I've purchased before, though not a slipper, and was very pleased with its comfort and durability. The construction of this slipper exceeds all others I've tried, and the exceptional warmth is exactly what I was hoping to experience.

Comments about Sorel Manawan Slippers - Men's:
Warm and comfortable. Used them at the cabins on Mt. Charleston NV and they kept the feet warm on cold floors and a very cold balcony. Got them on clearance and even then they were a bit pricey but they're easy to put on, warm, and (so far) very rugged.

Comments about Sorel Manawan Slippers - Men's:
I have had a pair of these for over 3 years, and thought I would give a long term review of these.
For those who care and notice, REI did not provide these specs: the shoes (for size 11 men's) weigh 1 lb, 4 oz (580 g).
Original opinion of slippers was "the cheap rubber sole is just stitched to the slipper, and the way it is stitched will wear down with simple walking and fall off. What junk. Thank goodness for the REI satisfaction guarantee."
Please notice I have owned the same pair of slips for over 3 years. I was wrong.
The sole and it's stitching do not lie on the same plane you typically scuff your heel, so for the most part, you never scuff the stitches. The stitching you do scuff off does not seem to destroy the shoe. My right shoe is missing one or two stitches and the heel seems as secure as the other ("pristine") stitches. (Picture attached showing this.)
The sole itself seems pretty durable. I have worn it around the house, the mall, in the car, light walks to the corner store, etc. They have also travelled in backpacks, suitcases, and such. So far, they have experienced light wear but no sign of wearing through.
Insole is worn, but not destroyed. If I wanted to, I might buy a pair of inserts to extend this, but it is a slipper, so I don't mind using a compressed insole. Comfort and support are what one should expect from a non-rigid slipper. Minimal, but cozy and warm.
Unlike some reviews I have seen, after 3 years, the inner lining does not seem to be shedding, falling apart, or in very poor shape at all. I am pleasantly surprised at the condition it is in.
Exterior wear and tear are minimal. A few stains from spilled food aside, the stitching and material are in solid shape, with no apparent/major stitch issues. Nothing is spitting, and no "home made shoe repairs" have been used to date. I have attached a picture hopefully showing the general condition of the shoe after 3 years use.
All in all, this slipper looks like it has at least another 3 years of life to it if treated well.
I only give it a 4-star because I still don't like the soles, even though they have lasted 3 years inside and out. Maybe I am too picky.
Hope this helps!

Comments about Sorel Manawan Slippers - Men's:
I was going to be off work for 6 weeks and wanted a new pair of slippers that were comfortable to wear all day if needed and boy do these fit the bill. Feet never get cold and I have to check my feet when I leave the house or I will forget I have them on. Great product.

I keep the house heat down and we have wood floors and these slippers really keep my feet warm with ease and for short trips to the garage they keep dry and warm.

Comments about Sorel Manawan Slippers - Men's:
You may want to order half-size larger or try on in store. A 12 fit perfectly, I usually fit 11 or 11.5. Very comfortable. Shaped sole looks like it will hold it's shape and not distort/roll with age. Robust stitching. Reasonably light weight. Good grip on wood floors, quiet, but not too sticky. My key purchasing point- Removable sheepskin footbed can be replaced with any inexpensive aftermarket one (buy them oversized and then cut with scissors for perfect fit), instead of having to buy new slippers. Generally, sheepskin footbeds tend to flatten/wear quickly. Warm. Easy to don and doff. Looks dorky like any house slipper, so don't go dancing with them. Overall good value.

I wear the Manawan "moccasins" around the casa. They are the perfect footwear for "stay-at-home" use for me. I love these high quality slippers.

Comments about Sorel Manawan Slippers - Men's:
These were great when I got them last christmas but now a year later all the softness of the insole is gone and they have become quite uncomfortable and Sorel doesnt sell a replacement insole. Tried some generic but they just dont cut it.. I expected more for a [$] pair of slippers.
