I put these on in the store, and knew right away I was taking them home. The unique design of the ankle area works perfectly for me. Instead of a typical collar-like opening, it is cut and flared. This means there is NO pressure on the ankle area, yet the rest of the slipper is cut in such a way that it does not fall off. The cushioning on the inside is soft and warm, and when these are on, I feel like I have clouds on my feet. The rubber sole is quiet indoors, and grips well on wood floors. The rubber sole also means I can run outside real quick and not ruin the sole. I cannot recommend these slippers enough, especially for the current sale price.

I just got back from REI. I returned some Acorn TLC Moc Slippers that were uncomfortable, tried on these ones and the Qwaruba Alpine Moc Slippers. These felt warmer, a little more comfortable, more secure in the heel, and not as narrow.
These are leather, whereas the Qwarubas are sheepskin, so that might be a factor for you.
Just got them today, so I can't give a full review.

These were great when I got them last christmas but now a year later all the softness of the insole is gone and they have become quite uncomfortable and Sorel doesnt sell a replacement insole. Tried some generic but they just dont cut it.. I expected more for a [$] pair of slippers.
