Not a good hiking sock.

I bought these to replace some Adrenaline Light socks and am quite disappointed. These are no substitute for Adrenaline Light socks and a poor choice for hiking. They run big because of their loose weave and bunch up. I also ended up with the first blister I've had in over 5 years wearing these socks. I've hiked hundreds of miles in the Adrenaline Light socks without even a hot spot.

I'm going to keep these for casual use and will go back to Smartwool Adrenaline Light socks for desert hiking and mountain biking.

This is an update to my previous review...When I first bought these socks and used them I was quite unhappy. The weave was loose and resulted in blisters. After several washings (>6) the weave tightened up so I tried them again. The washings made the difference. I've hiked these socks about 200 miles in all kinds of conditions (from 100+F to below freezing) and I'm impressed. They have good cushion and are wearing well. After several washings the PHD Outdoor socks are definitely a comfortable and durable sock. I'm buying more.
