Comments about Hunter Original Wellington Rain Boots - Women's:
Thanks to reviews posted elsewhere, I knew that these ran a FULL SIZE TOO BIG, and got a 9 even though I usually wear a 10 (rarely a 9.5). Good thing I did! They fit perfectly with a bit of room to spare.
I also worried because the reviewers all cautioned that they are tight in the calves for us fuller-calved gals. I have 15" calves, and as they are snug but just fine; I can even fit some jeans and pants down inside them.
They are extremely comfortable and since they are poured rubber there are no seams to come undone as there are in cheaper wellies. I can now walk anywhere and in any weather with my son. They run cool, so I got some smartwool socks on here for cold weather (and we get lots up here in BC!).
These wellies are completely worth the price, and besides, apparently the runway models are all wearing them this year (if that kind of thing interests you). We saw them all over New York last month.
They're the best thing I've bought in ages: functional, comfortable, well made and stylish! If you're hesitating, don't - but DO buy a size smaller and realize that the calves in the boots do run about 15" around.

Comments about Hunter Original Wellington Rain Boots - Women's:
I fell in love with the look and the tradition of the boot. I was looking for something I could use while working on our farm in wet weather. I ordered these and before I received them I found the same style at a Nordstrom store. (They have apparently become a "fashion" item.) So in anticipation I tried them out at the store. They would not go over my calf because the upper part was too narrow and it would not go all the way up my calf. The shoe part was too big and wide, the ankle was very narrow. Once I got them on I had a hard time getting them off! They were very uncomfortable. The Scottish manufacturer must still be stuck in the 60's in "Twiggy" time. I am not fat, but I am fit and exercise and I have toned calf muscles. Too bad they don't make shorter, wider ones. Unless you have stick legs, do not buy these.
