Comments about Merrell Chameleon Evo Gore-Tex XCR Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
These shoes are very good on the trail; stable, well-built, adequately stiff mid-sole, effective tread pattern, on-size and comfortable are all attibutes rightly attached to these shoes.
Pricey, but very functional. That too.
On boulders they stick, on those painful pop-up trail rocks they protect, on downhills your feet stay in the heel cups. On creek crossings your feet are gonna' get wet. But that's what should happen, right?
Yeah, rhe only silliness in the whole shoe is the GoreTex lining. GoreTex? In a low show? Why? If these shoes lacked the GoreTex they would have earned a 5. I mean, come on, think about it.
I still love these shoes.

Comments about Merrell Chameleon Evo Gore-Tex XCR Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I use these shoes daily for urban and off road walking. They took about a week to break in and the tred pattern takes some getting use to (it's kind of rounded). I've had them out in heavy cold rain with no problems. With some descent hiking socks your feet will stay comfortable. Comfotable enough for all day wear.

Comments about Merrell Chameleon Evo Gore-Tex XCR Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I am a professional hiking and canyoneering guide. I had these boots for one month and put about 75 miles on them. The lugs on the soles started to tear off around 50 miles. At about 60 miles the middle of the soles on both boots began separating from the boot. I returned them and purchased the Outland model. I had this model previous to the Chameleon and was able to get 350 miles out of them.
