Comments about Rome Anthem Snowboard:
So here's the deal. I like all this new tech as much as anyone else - MTX, BTX, Mustache camber.. bla bla bla. When it really comes down to it, your ability as a snowboarder will determine how easy or hard any given board is to ride.
Enter the Anthem. This is a tried-and-true, no-nonsense deck that will survive the ages. It's not effected by the new wave of techie junk that everyone swears by these days - it's a snowboard. It's not pretending to be anything other than that. And you know what? It's a dang good snowboard, too. You can easily ride this thing 100 days a year and be perfectly happy with it's performance.
On the other hand, I felt like it was a little too stiff for me. Granted, that's not really a problem if you're slashing deep powder in Jackson, but at Washington passes where we get that nice concrete ice-pack "snow," it can be a bit tiring. Nevertheless, in all but the worst conditions this is a great board.
...except for one thing. I've noticed several of these boards getting large hunks out of the top-coat. They just chip off, and frequently for no reason at all. If I'm honest, that really doesn't effect the ride of the board in any way - and if this is the only criticism I have, then I'm probably the one with the problem. Everyone snowboards get dinged up eventually, but compared to any of the other boards I've had, it seems to happen a lot faster.
Absolutely I would recommend this to a friend; it's a great board. OH! One more thing - if you have feet size 10 or bigger, get the Rome Flag - it's the exact same board, just in a wide version.

This board is amazing. It's tons of fun. If you're worried about it being stiff, just get one size smaller.
