Comments about Burton Cartel Snowboard Bindings:
I'm sure these are great bindings, but they're not for me. Don't let the bling get you...they look great, highback looks super nice, buckles look shiny, but after putting them on my board and adjusting them to my liking I put my boots in and there was way to much room on the sides and around the heel area. The highback felt super funky to me(I'm coming off some burton cfx's that I used forever). The Cartels didn't fit this years ruler that great. Exchanged them for the Burton Mission binding. After putting the Missions on my board and making adjustments I noticed that the highbacks sit flush compared to the cartels, tighter on the sides, and way better feel all around. The best way to describe it is the Cartels felt like too much binding, too bling. The missions fit the Burton Ruler like a glove.

Comments about Burton Cartel Snowboard Bindings:
I've broke two of these this season! I now rock the missions. The Cartels have too much fancy stuff and not enough strength to withstand hard riding. The Missions are replicas excluding a sloped high back on the top edge, super padded base, strength built in. Thats it. I've broke 2 pair this season as of 12-20-08 and replaced them with Missions. I've been up 11 times so far, no probs with Missions. Know why they are sturdy and not as cool looking. Says little ol'e me.[@]SAVE SOME GAS!!!!!!

Comments about Burton Cartel Snowboard Bindings:
Nice bindings! Tons of adjustments to make your own. Fit me well. Some times when taking my foot out for the lift my heal gets stuck in the binding and requires a little shake to release it. They do have a high back but that didn't bother me. If anything it just added support and control. I thought these binding gave great support and allowed for good forward movement. I would recommend these. Seems very well build, heavy duty materials, but light total weight. Great snap release. Wished the 4x4 had the same cushion as the 3 hole attachment. I like to ride fast, hit jumps, and go on back sides of the mountain in powder and trees. Performed all of those tasks very well.

Comments about Burton Cartel Snowboard Bindings:
These bindings are lighter than most and have good quality straps, but they work best with burton's proprietary 3x3 mounting system.
I have a Gnu 11up board(which is awesome), it uses the standard 4x4 system for binding mounts. There is a 4 hole base plate, but it is not padded like the 3hole for burton boards. Also the included screws do not tighten the bindings as well as screws from my old k2 bindings, maybe the screws work well on burton boards...
Also one of my plastic straps was bent in the box and so it is hard to open and fasten quickly.

These bindings are great. They give me flexibility. I got one for myself and my girlfriend. Yes, these are great for the ladies too!
