Comments about Salomon Dialogue Wide Snowboard Boots:
When I started snowboarding last year I had incredible foot pain from the very start. I had the same problem skiing many years ago and the solution was to blow out my boots in certain areas, something you can't do with snowboarding boots. I tried all kinds of different snowboard boots but the only way to avoid the pain was to get boots two sizes too big, but you can't snowboard when your feet slide around inside the boot. I thought I was going to have to give up the sport because the only way to have control was to have boots that fit, and boots that fit gave me too much foot pain. Turns out I have slightly wide foot, so slight that I've never had to wear wide shoes of any kind my whole life - but with snow sports it's enough to create debilitating pain. These wide boots, combined with the expert fitting I got at the San Francisco REI, I now have boots that fit with no pain! I just got back from a trip and was able to control my board for the first time! The combination of the proper fitting from REI (I was wearing a 9.5 but it turns out I needed an 8) with the wide construction of these Salomons have saved my fledgling snowboarding career! The only warning - these boots have an ankle notch inside the boot liner to help keep your heel in place. The part of this notch that touches your ankle has a rough texture and when I wore thin socks the rubbing gave me a blister - not when boarding but when walking. Use thick socks with these boots, that's the only reason I didn't give them a 5. Lacing system is "unique", takes a little getting used to but now I can lace up in no time.

Comments about Salomon Dialogue Wide Snowboard Boots:
Been snowboarding for 8+ years and dealing with constant foot pains. When I started riding significantly more times in a season, I couldn't bear the pain anymore, and went through 2 other pairs of boots before I found these wides. Foot pain is miraculously eased! I can finally wear boots my size so no slop, and when combined with the Sole heat moldable inserts(the ones that come with the boots are cheap and worthless)I get no foot pain and no heel lift compared to my previous 3 pairs of boots which started to hurt after the first run, and required loosening after 4-5 runs.
