Comments about Arc'Teryx Venta SV Jacket - Women's:
This is a great jacket to stop the wind but not warm enough to wear alone in cold weather. Add a size if you want to wear a layer underneath. I was looking for warmth, comfort and windproof.

Comments about Arc'Teryx Venta SV Jacket - Women's:
Arc'Teryx makes some of the best gear out there and I'm yet again pleased by my Venta SV Jacket. I live high in the mountains of Colorado and even in the middle of winter I can wear this skiing, snowshoeing or walking to work. It's also light enough and breathable enough to wear hiking in the summer time or fly fishing in fall. The fit is athletic, but there's enough room to layer underneath and the length is perfect. My only complaint is that I wish that the hood could be removed or hidden a little better. Arc'Teryx you've done it again!

Comments about Arc'Teryx Venta SV Jacket - Women's:
Perfect windproof jacket for winter hiking activities. It is well made by Arc'teryx. The only con is that it is a little expensive. The new version is [$]. And it was [$]before this year.

Comments about Arc'Teryx Venta SV Jacket - Women's:
I would say that anyone who would be in the market for technical gear of this caliber should also read recommended uses - you can do your research online and realize that the Venta SV is designed for active wear in cold weather, providing light insulation with the backing used and proper water repellency based on the fact that it's not designed to be used as a down jacket or rain gear in Seattle.
I love this jacket - it looks terrific on, feels great, has generous sleeve length and gives ample ventilation for the active user. Sizing - may run small if you are going to layer over insulation - but if you use adequate base layers that are not bulky, you will love this jacket. When I unwind after high activity in this jacket, I slip on my Atom LT (which feels like a sleeping bag) to warm up and feel cozy and comfy. Based on appropriate use for its design, this softshell is superior to any other I've owned and for an educated consumer, suffice it to say the "SV" stands for superior value.
