Great pants!
I had been looking for a pair of pants that would look cute enough for casual wear (without screaming "hiking pants"), but also good for hiking and other activities. These pants fit the bill. I haven't worn them hiking yet, but did wear them for a day of walking around a historical area including walking up 178 steps in a lighthouse. They felt comfortable all day and even stayed dry in light rain. They looked super cute, too. I have the clay color and may need to get them in black also!
Fabulous pants
These are great pants! I wore them through Egypt and Jordan and they were the perfect combination of comfortable and functional. The fabric is super soft and absolutely refused to wrinkle despite being crammed into a suitcase on and off for a week and a half. Water beads up on them and they dry really fast. They seem to run every so slightly on the large side and a little long, so if you're between sizes, consider going down a size. I'm 5'9" and usually take a long pant, but the regular length was almost too long on me. If you're camping or backpacking you may want to consider something with more pockets, though. The cargo packet is at a perfect location on the thigh to be at arm's length, but there's only that one pocket (other than the two back pockets and the hip pockets). The style is flattering as well, so they'll be useful for wearing around for everyday casual wear.

I was lucky to score these in black and green! Flattering slim cut, midweight, soft canvas material, perfect for everyday when jeans are too casual. Does not shrink in length! Runs a tad big.
