      The spandex creates the most comfortable fit with the softness of cotton. It is long enough with tapering to your shape...even in ski pants.This is my favorite REI shirt for skiing, hiking...all outdoors wear and simply with jeans. love it.

      This was my favorite shirt last year, so I ordered a few more colors for this year. It has a flattering fit, nice length, and stretches for comfort. I was a little disappointed with the way this year's model was finished, though. The seam along the collar was nicely turned under on last year's model and this year it is rather rough and unfinished-looking. The sleeves aren't as nice, either. They are joined in several parts, making it awkward to pull them up sometimes. I still love the way the shirt fits and washes, so I'll keep the ones I purchased, but please REI, go back to the older 2007 model and manufacturer. This year it just looks cheaper.

        This has been a great 3 season shirt. Good for layering or to wear by itself. It is made of more lightweight fabric than the previous version so I can't predict its durablity. My only complaint is that the colors are not as interesting this year.

              Like "Betsy 10," I love the shirts from 2006 and 2007 (I have 4!). I wear them constantly for Casual Friday, to go shopping, to casual dinners, to visit friends, etc. But this year, as "Becky 10" says, the finish at the neck is not turned under and looks frayed and extremely cheap. Since I always wear it unzipped, it doesn't look nice enough for how I wear it. I'm going to return the 3 I bought this year and hope that next year REI returns to last year's manufacturer and design. Also, I dislike the logo being laminated on the shirt. It means I can't use it for more "dressy" situations.

              What I love: feels soft and comfortable, looks trim and slimming (it's hard to find a trim fit in a zip mock top, mock top, or turtleneck), and it goes with both casual hoodies and nice cardigans. Plus this year, it was made from organic cotton. I hope REI fixes the problems next year.
