Patagonia Needs To IMPROVE This Sweater

Comments about Patagonia Better Sweater Quarter-Zip Pullover - Men's:

This is a heathered 200 weight type of fleece sweater.

The outside is constructed like a Polartec Thermal Pro (i.e. looks like a knit sweater on the outside instead of fluffy fleece). And like a Thermal Pro (Arcteryx in this case), the wind goes right THROUGH it...too easily! Still, the Thermal Pro is warmer since there's more fluffy density inside.

Collar is HUGE!! My neck was swimming in the XL (one of the widest neck openings I've encountered). The tall collar, when standing up (unzipped), flops around when walking--annoying(!)...plus I look like Elvis or a Vampire b/c the collar is so tall.

Size is very generous....made to accomodate round folks. Not flattering to my (tall, athletic) body....and if I size down, I lose the sleeve length and still have the big neck opening with tall collars.

The Patty retail price is also very high for just an ill-fitting fleece that lets wind through so easily.

What could have been a 5* becomes a 2-3* for this expensive fleece. If you have to go Patagonia, get the Synchilla pullover that has front pockets....warmer and thus more wind resistant.

    This multifunctional sweater is great!! Bike, Work, or throw one back @ a pub, this sweater can do it all. I've tried so many wool sweaters that ruin so fast and itch so bad. This sweater passes as wool but it wears and feels like fleece... I own three now and it is my go too sweater during the cold months. I'm 5' 10' 190 athletic build and the large could not be a better fit..
