Comments about REI Davos II Down Jacket - Women's:
I use this jacket in the mountains of North Carolina. Obviously, it hasn't gotten THAT cold yet, but so far it's been great. I got the purple color, and I really like it. The fabric is very soft and smooth. The hood is adjustable (there's an elastic drawstring in the back, but I don't really see its purpose), and I really like that you can remove it. I was considering buying a similar jacket from another brand REI carries, but I'm very happy with this choice. I don't think the description mentions the lining in the wrists, but it definitely helps keep the cold from coming in through the sleeves.

Comments about REI Davos II Down Jacket - Women's:
So far I really love this coat. It is like wearing a sleeping bag, very cozy. The only issue that I have had with it is that on the interior of the hood, when you latch the velcro, the drawstrings are right by your chin; not really comfortable. I wear a scarf to combat this problem. Otherwise I love the fleece around the cuffs, the lined pockets, and and the color (I chose the purple). This is my feel good coat!

Comments about REI Davos II Down Jacket - Women's:
I love this jacket! Both the outside and the lining fabric are SO smooth and soft, it really feels luxurious - just like like my premium Marm*t sleeping bag.
The jacket has very generous down fill and should be quite warm, probably warmer than I usually need, but I fell in love with it anyway. The light blue color is very pretty, by the way.
The sleeves have a nice soft brushed inner sleeve that gently encircles your wrist to keep the warmth in.
The hood has some great features. First of all, it zips off it you don't need it. It also has 2 side adjusters and one back adjuster. You can really customize this hood to fit just perfect; instead of being all loose and letting cold in, it snuggles right around your face.
There is a soft brushed lining on the neck, too. When zipping the jacket all the way up, the neck is just the right height to cover my entire neck, but not my mouth - some jackets come up too high, which is annoying.
The hand pockets are placed in the right location to be comfortable. Some jackets put them too high up, or too far back. These seem just right.
The little included stuff bag is handy.
Bottom line - very comfy and luxurious feeling!

Comments about REI Davos II Down Jacket - Women's:
I love this jacket. So, far it has proven warm in this cold New England winter. It compresses so small, I wondered if it would keep me warm. It has so far! I really like how the neck veclro strap can snap up out of the way because I don't like the look of it when it is down. The only thing I don't like about this jacket is the double zipper. It is a shorter style coat and having a double zipper seems pointless on a short coat. Just a pet peeve of mine because I always find myself struggling to zip it and find myself swearing at the zipper every time I put it on. But, it is not enough to deter me from the coat. I just wish they wouldn't put a double zipper of a short coat when they are designed for longer ones.
