      I wear this thing ALL THE TIME when its chilly. I didn't use to believe in vests because my arms get cold. Then I bought the Muir Vest. (And then I lost it and bought another one...) And when my core feels warm and snuggly my arms follow. Its also really good at blocking wind, especially when layered with a soft shell. It'd be nice if REI could make it in a petite size though- my torso is shorter than most. But I suppose that just means I get really good coverage :)

        I received this vest as a gift and had to take it back. The top of the collar would curl in when it is not zipped up all the way and scratch against my neck. I tried to straighten it out but it wouldn't go. This might not bother you, but I would recommend for this vest to try it on and check your neck before you buy.

          This is a wonderfully comfortable vest and attractive. Love the pockets with zippers. Bought one and love it so I ordered the two other colors.

          I appreciate NOT having to pay for shipping by picking it up at the store. And returns (rare) are easy too at the store.

            great for kind of cool days over a thermal. nice also for cold nights under a heavy ski jacket when you don't want sausage arms. price was reasonable and i feel like i'll get a lot of use out of it.

              This vest is light weight and soft. It is good for layering but not the only thing you want to have on you if you get lost in the woods, too thin. It will be good to run in this fall/winter. The chest seems a little big to me for what the measurments say but I haven't washed it yet so that could make a small difference.
