The Ascensionist soft-shell jacket from Patagonia is highly water resistant and quick drying—it works beautifully for alpine climbing and backcountry skiing adventures.

  • Dense polyester (45% recycled) stretch double weave fabric is exceptionally water and wind resistant, and is spandex-free for a fast dry time
  • Deluge® durable water repellent finish causes water to bead up and roll off
  • Stitch-free, lap-glued seams speed dry time, improve water resistance and decrease bulk
  • Helmet-compatible, 3-way adjustable hood; brushed chamois patches improve chin and neck comfort
  • Water-resistant front zipper
  • Cuffs secure with supple die-cut tabs; elastic drawcord hem seals out the elements
  • Articulated elbows
  • 2 large handwarmer pockets fit skins; includes an internal security pocket
  • Slim fit is designed to reduce excess bulk
