    I bought the jacket to use for outdoor winter running and cross country skiing. I used it today for the first time and I am really glad I got it. What a difference the "right" gear makes to comfort and performance!

    I was comfortable at 3.7 degrees with a very light wind. I wore a base layer under the jacket of Patagonia Capilene 2. If it was windier, I think Capilene 3 or a slightly heavier base layer would be perfect.

    I really like the color (Nimbus Blue). The jacket has a convenient pocket up near the top perfect for the cell phone. It also has thumb loops, with generous length in the sleeves.

    The price is a bit steep--however, it is an excellent value for the price and well worth it.
