Comments about CamelBak Podium Bottle - 24 oz.:
Don't have to pull the top up to drink, just squeeze.
Locks closed so there is no leaking if you store it in a bike bag.
Screw top is best one I have seen. Doesn't cross thread like most bike bottles do.
Only drawback may be cleaning the valve. So far it gets clean in the dishwasher.

Great bottles. Unique lid design. These will not leak even in the open position. Once the lock option is employed there is no way your drink is coming out no matter how hard you squeeze the bottle. No more pulling open the lid with your teeth. Just squeeze or suck and the fluid flows through a one-way type diaphragm. Love'em. Buying them for my dad and brother-in-law as gifts.

Comments about CamelBak Podium Bottle - 24 oz.:
I was so impressed with the valve. Just squeeze or suck lightly and it pours into your mouth. I don't get the low-flow frustration of a regular bottle. Even when it's in open position, it doesn't leak a lot when tipped. When it's closed, it's closed. My only complaint is that the inside of valve parts takes a while to dry and I don't think I can disassemble it to really clean. I guess I'll put only lean drinks in this bottle. Oh, and I wish the look of the bottle was a little sexier.

I use this every weekday for bike commuting, and every single day on or off the bike, upping my hydration levels (which I'm admittedly bad about). Indeed, water that comes out doesn't taste like plastic, which was the clincher for me. Love it.

I love these water bottles. Polar has the insulated market covered. Camelbak makes a great spout. The water comes out so easily when you want a drink. No more messy lids, squeezing the heck out of the bottle or trying to suck water while you can't even catch your breath. They're really great.

These bottles are outstanding! Essentially void of any material taste effects. Holds a reasonable amount of fluid and has a functional design.
I purchased it primarily for my bike but find myself using it constantly--even at work. The remarkable points have been mentioned by others but I'll still echo that even when the mouthpiece is set to "open" it seals in the contents surprisingly well. When "closed" the bottle will break before it releases any fluid. I owned two of these since July (one actually did crack along the bottom seam when i flew back from hawaii and forgot to "open" the mouthpiece before checking in my luggage).
The MP disengages easily and can be boiled in water to loosen any scum that may build up inside, as it does tend to stay damp. A q-tip is helpful in scrubbing the inner surface of the MP.

Comments about CamelBak Podium Bottle - 24 oz.:
I had read several reviews and decided to try the Podium for myself. Having spent $$ trying all kinds of bottles, I was reluctant to spend the money. It is 24 oz, fits my hand, DOES NOT LEAK, and it is worth every penny. Even on bumpy MTB rides, it does not spill at all. Suck on it or squeeze the bottle and it gives you all the liquid you want. I will not use any other bottle.

Comments about CamelBak Podium Bottle - 24 oz.:
Great valve, stays shut when needed, yet pours the liquid with a gentle squeeze.
Mine has a blue valve cover that comes off with a gentle prying and cleans nicely.
I had three of these bottles but one got run over by a car, and the bottle body burst ( the top was in the locked shut position). I now use the top on a polar insulated bottle and it is a GREAT combination!
Great Bottle which adds no taste to the liquid, Cleans easily, delivers liquid when you want it, and stays closed when not in use!
Worth the money charged!
