Comments about GSI Pinnacle Pot and Frypan:
We used this to make some mac and cheese the first night and found the strainer works well. In the morning we boiled water for instant oats, and then fried some eggs in the pan.
I was impressed with how evenly the pans heated, and how easy they were to clean. The handle gave us a surprise in that it weighs about twice the pot, and four times the frying pan so it can be a bit unbalanced on your stove. Frying pan in particular requires you hold it unless you want an egg on the ground (trust us).
We used the plastic cover for a wash basin to clean everything and our hands too.
Overall, it works well and we can fit a canister of fuel and our stove in it, so it packs up well. Makes cooking a breeze and eggs don't burn or stick.

Comments about GSI Pinnacle Pot and Frypan:
Cooks great, the non-stick coating and the pots themselves feel much more durable than my MSR Duralites. The handle is ingenius, folds in half to take up less space and it locks onto the pots so you don't have to worry about it falling off. The Lexan lid has strainer holes in it and the plastic doesn't get that hot, I was able to strain pasta w/out gloves. My Dragonfly stove nests inside, so I think pretty much any other stove will as well. The bag doubles as a free-standing bowl when filled w/ water - good for trailside sink or watering your dog.
The set is bulky and on the heavy side, so this is not for you ultralite thru hikers.

Comments about GSI Pinnacle Pot and Frypan:
I am pretty happy with this pot set after using it on two multi day trips.
It replaced a stainless set I had for 14 years.
The surface is easy to clean and the pot is stable and doesn't slide easily (a problem with my old set).
The lid works nicely, doesn't get too hot and makes great steamed veggies.
The pot holder is very secure when snapped on which is a great feature.
BUT, all is not perfect. When boiling water with the pot 3/4 full, the pot holder got very hot when left on. I was using an MSR Dragonfly stove with the windscreen on which directed heat up. Not so much the fault of the design, but rather something to watch out for.
While mine hasn't broken (yet) the grabber on the lid seems like it might be easily damaged when washing the lid and requires care.
Another set I have has a molded on grabber that works just fine without exposing itself to damage.

Comments about GSI Pinnacle Pot and Frypan:
The pros: Excellent heat distribution, quality pans, the pasta strainer is excellent, I love the plastic lid in that it doesn't get too hot to touch, excellent non-stick surface.
The cons: The orange tab on the top of the lid, for picking the lid up with, broke off of mine after just a few uses. Secondly, the handle is a bit finicky and can be difficult to take on and off of a hot pan. The handle can also get very hot if you leave it attached to the pan while cooking so you either need to handle it with a cloth or take it on and off which is not so easy to do while cooking with it.
I ended up returning this pot to REI but repurchased the same one because it cooks really well and the nonstick is excellent and other than the orange tab, the set seems really durable. This is important to me because my work involved lots of camping and the pot received heavy use.
