Comments about Respiro Soft A-5130 Bike Saddle - Men's:
This is a great saddle for mountain biking. The Respiro's cut out design really prevents pressure from building up in your nether regions. The vent technology keeps your boys cool. Additionally, the "gel" padding feels great; not too soft or too firm. My bum has not been bruised or fallen asleep on long rides. Good weight and durability (so far). I originally purchased the WTB Pro Gel saddle and was really disappointed with the comfort (i.e. The WTB "love channel" does not cut it) and durability (my brother-in-law had his fall apart on him). Check it out!!!

Comments about Respiro Soft A-5130 Bike Saddle - Men's:
When I first tried this saddle, I thought it was awesome!! The stock saddle on my Cannondale F7 was terrible and the Respiro was like a couch compared to it.
I was doing 30 minute rides at the time and was loving the comfort this saddle provided. I started having problems though as the length of my rides increased. After about 40 - 45 minutes, I would start to get numbness and some pain in the area where my body met the portion of the saddle that transitioned from wide to narrow. It seems that this portion of the saddle is not narrow enough for me.
Too bad, because the air flow system and gel padding are great.
I replaced it with a Selle Itallia Shiver Gel Flow and can now ride comfortably for hours.
Maybe other body types will not have the same problem.

Comments about Respiro Soft A-5130 Bike Saddle - Men's:
I have been putting off upgrading the saddle on my '08 Cdale F3 for longer than I care to admit. In preparation for an adventurous outing coming up, I decided to pull the trigger. After reading the reviews of numerous saddles REI offers, this one seemed like the best one and boy, lemme tell ya - this seat is great!
Not knowing much about saddle upgrades and how it might "fit" me, I initially installed it so that the saddle was completely parallel with the horizon. Seemed logical. During my 1st ride though, it became clear that certain parts of my anatomy (the boys) were not sitting well in their new position. All it took was angling the saddle slightly downward so that the nose was somewhat pointing towards the floor and that did the trick. Everyone was happy.
I did a 12 mile trip today in a local park, riding on pavement, crushed stone, open field and mud and was infinitely more comfortable than I had been on the stock Cdale seat. I should note that I was wearing padded shorts on this trip, but last night I was not and stayed just as comfy on my 3 mile trek.
The only con is that my Topeak Aero Wedge Pack will not fit on the bike anymore. The rails underneath the saddles are wider than the stock Cdale ones and the mounting brackets do not fit. Kinda bummed about that since that's where I keep my tools and spare tubes. I'm hoping that when I take the bike into REI for a servicing, that they know of some options to remedy that.
Aside from that, this seat is a winner!
